TEAM GUIDELINES

I __________________________ on the date of________________ hereby agree to the following conditions upon joining the Jokers Softball team. I will respect my fellow teammates, umpires and those that we play. If I bat less than .420, I will take extra BP and/or go to the batting range until I bat over. I agree to help other players out where I can. I'll Practice with the team as much as I can. I will participate the best I can in all practices I attend. I will not act as if I am any more important than anyone else on the team. During practices and pre-game batting practice, it is first come fist serve (if you show up first, you bat first.). I will cheer my teammates on at every possible occasion. I will do my best to help the team towards winning. I will not show up intoxicated or under the influence to a game and will not get intoxicated during.If I am one of the last 2 out I will coach a base, If I am the on deck batter I will instruct the runner coming home on whether to slide or not. I will show up to each game 30 mins before start time unless impossible or restricted by very important matters, I will play hard every game. I will give 3 days notice at least, if I'm not playing, unless it's an uncontrollable situation. I agree to sit on the bench without argument and continue to root on the team if the manager deems necessary. During playoffs certain players will be assigned to coach bases as well as play. If I am one of these players I will do so without argument. I will warm-up and play in a professional manner every game. I am willing to practice, learn and play hard to earn my position in the field and spot in the lineup. I understand that I may have to catch at one time or another, or possibly more. I will not bitch and moan if I don't earn the position I wanted.  I will agree to play any position and/or spot in the lineup that the manager feels I should play/bat. I am not guaranteed to play every game. During the post season I understand that most likely we will bat 10 which increases my chances of not batting in the lineup. I will trust my manager in making the best decisions possible for the team and doing everything he can to lead us to a winning season. I shall at all times faithfully, industriously, and to the best of my ability, experience, and talent, perform all duties that may be required of me and to the reasonable satisfaction of the manager. It does not matter who I am, I will follow all the conditions. This agreement will begin Aug 31 2007 .
